1. What Aux Wars is

Aux Wars is a social party game for people in the same room. Each round, one player names a genre, everyone submits a song, the group listens together on one speaker, and then the room ranks the picks.

Aux Wars does not play, stream, host, or store music. It does not send audio to your device. One person plays the songs themselves, on their own device and their own music service, out loud. Aux Wars is the scoreboard and the referee — nothing more.

2. Accounts and minimum age

Some features — joining a jam, earning points, saving progress, buying cosmetics or drinks — require an account. You can start as a guest and claim that same player later with an email and password, which keeps your points and progress.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or play as a guest. If you are under 13, do not use Aux Wars. Where your local law sets a higher minimum age for online services, that higher age applies to you.

You are responsible for your account, your display name, your uploaded photo, and anything submitted from your account. Keep your password to yourself.

3. Acceptable use

Play fair and be decent. Do not use Aux Wars to harass, threaten, or abuse other players; to submit or upload illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit content; to impersonate someone else; to upload photos of people who have not agreed to it; or to scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or other players' accounts.

We may remove content, end a jam, or suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you submit: your display name, chat messages, song picks, avatar photos, and the AI-generated face made from a photo you provide.

By submitting content you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, and display that content for the purpose of operating Aux Wars — for example showing your song pick and avatar to the other players in your jam, and showing your name on a leaderboard. That licence lasts only as long as we need it to run the service, and ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies retained in routine backups for a limited period.

You confirm you have the right to submit what you submit, including any photo of a person.

5. Third-party services

Aux Wars shows song information from public music catalogues, and a host may optionally connect a Spotify account so the room can see what is actually playing. That connection is read-only, entirely optional, and never required to play.

Those services are operated by other companies and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or how they handle your data. Music you play is played through your own service, under your own agreement with that provider.

6. Points, tiers, drinks, and cosmetics

Points, tiers, drinks, and cosmetic items are entertainment inside the game. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred off the platform, and may be adjusted or reset if we detect abuse or fix a scoring error.

Any drink or shot prompt is an optional suggestion in a social game. Never drink if you are under the legal drinking age, driving, pregnant, or advised not to. Play responsibly and look after your friends.

7. No warranty

Aux Wars is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss, and we may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost points, lost profits, or lost goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of Aux Wars — including anything that happens at a party where it is played.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty US dollars.

9. Ending your use

You can stop playing and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you break these terms or if we stop operating the service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will update the date at the top of this page, and continuing to play after an update means you accept the revised terms.
